About the Role
You will support aged care facilities in delivering high-quality food services to residents, working across a range of sites in a supportive team environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Kitchen Hand / Food Service Assistant:

• Set up and deliver meal and beverage trolleys
• Prepare and plate meals, including texture-modified meals (IDDSI)
• Prepare sandwiches, salads, and light snacks
• Maintain food safety records and temperature checks
• Wash dishes and maintain kitchen cleanliness
• Follow infection control and food safety procedures

 
Cook / Chef:

• Prepare and cook meals in line with planned menus
• Work with dietary requirements, including texture-modified diets (IDDSI)
• Ensure meals are presented to a high standard
• Maintain food safety documentation and temperature controls
• Support kitchen operations, stock control, and ordering
• Maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment

 
 
What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, or hospitality
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required for Cook/Chef roles)
• Strong communication skills and reliability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge and experience with modified diets (IDDSI)

 
Mandatory Requirements:

• Full National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months - must state “Aged Care/Healthcare” purpose)
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
• NSW Working with Children Check (not required but highly desired)
• 3x Covid Vaccinations
• 2026 Flu Vaccination
• Availability for flexible shifts across 7 days
